Veterans Day Gifts 2026, for the People Who Served

For the dad who still keeps his DD-214 in a folder. The grandfather who wears his Vietnam cap to every ballgame. The aunt who served two tours and never makes a fuss about it. Something that recognizes their service, without a speech.

Veterans Day Is for the Living

Memorial Day remembers the people who died in service. Veterans Day, every November 11, is for everyone who served, and most of them are still here to open a gift.

It doesn’t need to be grand. It needs to show you know where they’ve been: their branch, their era, the team they never miss.

Find the Right Gift for Their Service

01

For Vietnam Veterans

A cap with 1955–1975 on the front gets noticed in a grocery line or at a ballgame, and that small moment of recognition is part of the gift. Caps, a boonie hat and a tumbler for the ones who served in that era.

In America’s 250th Year

Veterans Day 2026 falls in the year the country turns 250. A ring, a coin-shaped advent calendar and a collectible Independence Day car for the family member who likes their history with a bit of shine.

What to Write in the Card

“Thank you for your service” is a fine start. A few more lines make it theirs.

  1. Name the branch and the years.

“To Dad, U.S. Navy, 1969 to 1973.” Writing it down tells them you remember the details.

  2. Mention something specific.

A story they’ve told you, the place they were stationed, the friend they still call every November.

  3. Say what it means to you.

Not to the country, to you. That’s the part they’ll keep.

A Few Things to Get Right

Check the branch

Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Space Force. A Marine is not a sailor, and will tell you so. If you’re not sure, a gift that suits any branch is the safe choice.

Match the era

Someone who served in Vietnam and someone who served in Iraq or Afghanistan had very different service. A piece made for their era means more when it’s right.

Plan around November 11

Veterans Day 2026 is a Wednesday. Check our shipping times and order early, or give it at the next family visit with a card that says why.

Veterans Day Gift Questions, Answered

When is Veterans Day 2026?

Wednesday, November 11, 2026. Veterans Day falls on November 11 every year, the anniversary of the 1918 armistice that ended the fighting in World War I.

What’s the difference between Veterans Day and Memorial Day?

Memorial Day, the last Monday in May, honors service members who died in service. Veterans Day honors everyone who has served in the U.S. armed forces, and it’s the day to thank the veterans in your life directly.

What is a DD-214?

DD Form 214 is the record the military issues when a service member leaves active duty. It lists their branch, dates of service and awards, which is why many veterans keep theirs safe for life, and why a DD-214 gift suits a veteran of any branch.

Will my order arrive by November 11?

Our shipping page estimates 8–28 business days from order to delivery for Standard shipping and 11–17 for Fast. If the day itself matters, order as early as you can and choose Fast. If it arrives after the 11th, a card that says why you chose it still carries the day.
